Spammers & Scammers Look Out!

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'm recovering and will be fighting spam & scam again real soon. Well, that is after I recover from tomorrow's surgery. And then I'm coming after you no-good parasite spammers and scammers and I'll be showing the troops how to hunt you down, too! We'll be using you for worms on a fishhook once I trap you in my snare.

Once I get up and running I guess I'll add some spam & scam hunting themed fiction to this site to make it a little exciting, too.

I've Been on Sick Leave.

Sorry about the delay, folks. I've had some serious problems I hope are now resovled. I had a major operation and it is amazing I even recovered, but I'm ready to get the bootcamp back up and running real soon. (I hope)

At This Hour We Mourn

At 13:30 today, Thursday, 05 November, 2009 a tragic event has taken place at Fort Hood, Texas, home of America's First Team. It is the base of the U.S. Army 1st Cavalry Division.

Breaking news is still coming in, but the latest development states at least 12 dead and 31 wounded in a shooting at the U.S. Army base, Fort Hood, Texas.

Lt. Gen. Robert W. Cone, the commanding general of the Army's III Corps, told news reporters that at least one U.S. soldier opened fire on a combination of men and women, military and civilian, in the Soldiers Readiness Processing Center and Howze Theater. The processing center is where soldiers prepare for deployment.

Lt. Gen. Cone reported that one gunman was shot to death and two others were in custody. He confirmed that all three assailants were U.S. soldiers, but did not know the motivation for the attacks in which he said at least two handguns were used.

Fort Hood was under lock down, as well as government and civilian compounds surrounding the base. The 1st Cavalry Division, The First Team website was also unavailable for a period of time this afternoon. It could have been locked down or disabled due from a large number of hits.

Fort Hood is one of the world's largest military installations.

We must question what went wrong? Why would soldiers turn on their own team? Why were soldiers being processed for deployment to harms way be targeted on their own soil? These questions may or may not be answered in the days ahead. But we pause here in respect and honor of the dead, the wounded and the families of the soldiers and civilians involved.
